                      ULTRACOLD COLLISION DYNAMICS

  Collisions between atoms optically cooled to sub-millikelvin
  temperatures open a new regime of dynamical phenomena where
  interaction with the radiation field is on an equal footing with
  the collisonal interaction.  We discuss various aspects of this
  new regime which show how a precision spectroscopy of the
  collision intermediate is possible and how the outcome of a
  collision can be "coherently controlled" in the frequency domain.
