In this talk, I identify some of these problems, discuss their origin within the practice of science, and try to shed some light on what scientific discovery means in today's environment. I draw on examples from several areas of science and technology to illustrate my points. February 24, 2014 4:30 pm Room 3301, Exploratory Hall, Fairfax Campus Refreshments will be served at 4:15 PM. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Find the schedule at http://www.cmasc.gmu.edu/seminars.htm
