Each time this happens, history shows us that our technology is vulnerable to a variety of not-so-pleasant ills including power blackouts, satellite damage, radio interference, and yes, prognostications about the End of the World. In this informal talk, I would like to review what has happened before, and what we might reasonably expect in the coming decade while our sun goes about its usual business of being a magnetically-active star.
